From August 19 to September 1st the works of international artist Denise Buisman Pilger will be featured at the Viva Vida Art Gallery in Pointe Claire. ‘URBAN’ will show you surreal interpretations of North American cityscapes, reflecting the artist’s off-beat view of the world.
At home in Montreal since 2009, Denise Buisman Pilger, has travelled extensively, most recently living for three years in Fort Worth, Texas. Her journeys and love of photography have served as inspiration for her unique mixed media and photo collages. Taking major cities as her main focus point, she creates images that feel surreal and familiar at the same time.
The Viva Vida Art Gallery has recently moved to a beautiful new space on Lakeshore Road. The airy, contemporary space offers the perfect atmosphere for this urban themed, mixed media show.
The public is invited to the opening reception for ‘URBAN’, which will be held on Friday August 19 from 7-10 pm. The Viva Vida Art Gallery is located on 278-2 Lakeshore Road in Pointe-Claire.
